Formal pact on SAARC Development Fund

The agreement for setting up a SAARC Development Fund to provide financial assistance for the economic, social and infrastructure development of the SAARC Member Countries will be signed during the SAARC Heads of State Summit to be held from August 2 to 3 in Colombo.

Al-Futtaim acquires AMW shares

Al- Futtaim Engineering, the Dubai based automotive retail, electronics and financial services conglomerate acquired a majority shareholding of Associated Motorways PLC. With this acquision AMW office in Colombo will be the head quarters for the SAARC region, its sources said.
