Max Academy opened

The State of the art Max Cricket Academy for coaches was ceremonially declared open by the Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Arjuna Ranatunga at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Khettarama yesterday.

The Max Cricket Academy for coaches is a long felt need and the SLC coaching staff will now have the opportunity of providing a better service to the players with all the facilities in their backyard.

Earlier the SLC coaching staff were based at their Headquarters in Maitland Place. All coaches attached to Sri Lanka Cricket will be located at the new premises which would be more beneficial for their coaching programs.

The new premises consists of a video analyzing department, conference room and an IT Department. SLC is hoping to further improve the facilities by adding a fully equipped gymnasium, swimming pool as well as accommodation facilities for outstation players.
