Four Tiger suspects charged in UK

British police have charged four men with conspiring to support the Tigers, Scotland Yard said yesterday. The four were arrested under anti-terror laws and are accused of owning computers, radio equipment and high-power magnets for terrorist purposes, AFP reported from London.

Army infantrymen battling terrorists on the Mannar front in the Wanni theatre of operations, captured Adampan tank area yesterday evening. The Army liberated around two square kilometres south of Adampan town.

'Sethu will facilitate LTTE'

Former Union minister Dr Subramaniam Swamy today told the Supreme Court that national security would be compromised if the Sethusamudram canal project is completed ignoring the warnings given by the Navy Chief as well as director of coast guards according to whom the canal would facilitate the LTTE's activities in India.
