Balendra in CSE Board

Krishan Balendra has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) with effect from March 7.

Balendra is a Director of John Keells Stockbrokers (Pvt) Ltd and the Head of Corporate Finance/Executive Vice President of John Keells Holdings PLC since 2002.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of London and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD, France.The Board of Directors of the CSE consists of five directors elected by the 15 Member Firms of the CSE and four directors nominated by the Finance Minister.

The current composition of the Board of Directors is A.N. Fonseka (Chairman), M.M. Udeshi, J.H. Paul Ratnayeke, Murtaza Jafferjee, Ashroff Omar, Dhakshitha Thalgodapitiya, Prof. Malik Ranasinghe and Krishan Balendra.
