Technical officials' exams in April and August

Athletic Association of Sri Lanka will conduct examination for the promotion of Technical Officials to Class 3 and Class 2 on April 27 according to P.H.D. Waidyatilaka, Chairman Technical Committee AASL and President of the Athletic Technical Officials Association (ATOA).

Technical Officials who have passed the class 4 examination with 2 years post qualifying experience will be eligible to apply for class 3. Candidates for class 2 should have 4 years post qualifying experience in class 3.

Applications will close on March 25. A refresher course will be held end of March for the benefit of the applicants.

Waidyatilaka also informs that an examination to be admitted as Technical Officials to Class 4 will be held in August. The Class 4 examination is put off till August so that District Seminars could be held to enable the applicants to be educated on the latest IAAF technical rules.
