President's decision to eradicate terrorism, usher in peace commendable - Prelate

We should appreciate the decisiontaken by President Mahinda Rajapaksa to cancel the Ceasefire Agreement signed with the LTTE, said the Sanghanayake Thera of the North Western Province Ven. Rekawa Jinarathana Thera.

The Ven. Jinarathana Thera was making an anusasana at religious ceremony held at Jayasumanarama Temple, Wehera, to bless the President, Nation, Security Forces and Police.

The Ven. Thero said as citizens of this country, we should give our full support to the President, Government and our Armed Forces. We should support irrespective of race, religion and party.

He said the CFA signed by the Government and LTTE was favourable to the latter. In some instances they received international status also. We should pay our tribute to the President who took this noble decision to eradicate terrorism and restore peace in the country.

This religious ceremony was conducted by the District Secretariat, Kurunegala with the assistance of Divisional Secretariats, Provincial Council, Kurunegala and North Western Province. Political leaders, State officers and officers of the Armed Forces were present.
