The trading started late yesterday at 10.00 a.m, and subsequently the market gained momentum amidst heavy trading on selective counters. The ASPI edged up 21.95 points or 0.89% to close the day at 2485.77 whilst the MPI climbed up 13.35 points or 0.43% to end the day at 3107.30.

Market heavyweight Dialog Telekom (DIAL) dominated both turnover and volume wise after a total of 20.0 million shares changed hands contributing a massive Rs.360.7 million to turnover.
