Some of the investors who had invested in SEZ had run in to
controversies. "We were very proud to hear when the Minister said that
Brandix was the most non controversial entity in the zone," CEO Brandix
Ltd, Ashroff Omar said.
He said that they would invest up to US$ 600 to 700 million for their
Indian operations within the next five years. "Total employment would
reach 60,000 in five more years," he said.
Brandix is Sri Lanka's largest apparel exporter with an annual
turnover that exceeds USD 320 million. We provide employment to over
20,000 associates and generate indirect employment to an equivalent
number.
Brandix also provides over 50% of value addition locally through our
