Free air tickets for 32 N-E doctors

The Healthcare and Nutrition Ministry will provide free air tickets to 32 doctors who agreed to report for duty in the North and East state hospitals apart from security, food and lodging facilities, a Ministry spokesman said.

He said the 32 doctors serving in the North and East state hospitals met Healthcare and Nutrition Minister Nimal Siripala de Silva recently regarding their requirements.

The free air tickets will be provided to them by the Government to visit their families once in every three months.

The Ministry will make arrangements to provide them security, lodging and other facilities through the Director General, Health Services, North and East, he said.

Ministry Secretary Dr. Athula Kahandaliyanage had received the corporation of the Government Medical Officers' Association to sort out these issues.
