Schools reopen on Monday

Schools in the Welioya and Padaviya Divisional Secretariat divisions temporarily closed for security reasons will re-open on Monday. NCP Chief Minister Berty Premalal Dissanayake said teachers attached to these schools should report back to work from Monday.

Students should attend schools from Monday as arrangements have been made to ensure their security. These schools were temporarily closed from February 6 to 8 following discussion with security chiefs regarding the security situation in the area. Colombo schools will also reopen on Monday
