Wasgamuwa Park open from Monday

The Environment and Natural Resources Ministry decided to open the Wasgamuwa National Park to the public from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday, Minister Patalee Champika Ranawaka said yesterday. This follows the improved security situation.

The Ministry also sought Defence Ministry approval to open the Udawalawa National Park for the public soon.

The Minister was optimistic that the Udawalawa National Park would be opened by next week if the Defence authorities were satisfied with the security arrangements for the opening of the park for the public.
