MCA 'C' Div. quarter finalists found
Opener, Gayan Malinga struck an elegant unbeaten 103 not out with the
help of 14 fours and 3 sixes from 115 balls, to guide sponsors,
Edirisinghe Trust Investment (ETI) to a comfortable six wicket win
Slimline with 10 overs to spare in the ongoing MCA 'C' Division 50-overs
League Tournament, continued last week end.
Sri Lankan Airlines 'A' opener, Dhanushka Eddussuriya 103 in 114
balls with 13 fours was the other centurion, whose valiant effort gave
them a nerve wrecking one wicket win with just one ball to spare over
new comers, MAS Active Synergy.
An unbroken 110 run second wicket partnership between Janaka
Wannakkuwatte (55 n.o.) and Indika Senaratne (52 n.o.) propelled E-Wis
to a comprehensive nine wicket win over Confifi Group. The semi finals
will be played on February 16 at BoI ground, Katunayake and DSS ground,
while the final is scheduled for Feb. 16 at the P. Sara Stadium.
