People's Bank boosts customer services

Measures would be initiated to boost services of the People's Bank to
provide a better service for its customers.
"All People's Bank branches are to be computerised shortly and the
number of ATMs would also be increased up to 50," Chairman, People's
Bank W. Karunajeewa said .
People's Bank opened a new branch in the heart of the Kirinda town
and also shifted the existing consumer services centre of the Yatiyana
People's Bank to a convenient place in Yatiyana town recently. People's
Bank has 324 branches and 314 consumer services centres. The total
number of customers is 10.5 million.
People's Bank has been extending the fullest support and co-operation
for the s peedy economic development in Sri Lanka.
A fresh concessionary loan scheme is also available for cultivators
in the country.
The People's Bank's Sisu Udana Scheme has helped the school children
in their educational developmental activities. "It also cultivates the
habit of saving among children. They can acquire knowledge of
transactions of banks," Chairman, People's Bank W. Karunajeewa added.
Manageress Yatiyana People's Bank branch Asoka Kalyani said, "All
latest facilities are currently being provided for customers through
branches.
The loan scheme introduced by the People's Bank has been of immense
benefit to farmers and other paddy cultivators in the division."
She expressed her gratitude to the Chairman, officials and employees
attached to the People's Bank for their support. |
