A Cadet delegation from Sri Lanka left for Delhi to take part in the Indian Republic Day Camp celebrations - 2008 under the youth exchange programme of the National Cadet Corps. The delegation comprises of Lt. Col. K.S. Perera, company junior under officer Herath HMCJ, company junior under officer Meegaswatte TNK (L), company junior under officer Koralage CJ (L), Sgt Chanake KVM, Sgt Fernando MRM and Sgt Ranasinghe RAPD (L). Red alert over Tigers in Tamil Nadu

A red alert has been sounded over the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in India, particularly Tamil Nadu, following a warning from the Interpol, days after US intelligence agency FBI listed the Tigers as the most “dangerous outfit and deadly extremist group in the world”.
