Six LTTE bunkers were completely destroyed and six Tiger cadres were killed and 12 others injured during a confrontation between the Security Forces and the LTTE in Admapan, West of Mannar yesterday morning, Military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said.

The Security Forces launched an attack on LTTE bunkers to neutralise the sporadic Tiger attacks on the Security Forces Forward Defence Lines in Palaikkuli, Mannar at around 9.30 am. He said troops overran the captured bunkers. A soldier was killed and six others injured in the incident.
