Case filed against Sripathi

A case has been filed against former Minister and parliamentarian Sripathi Sooriyaarachchi for misusing a Ministry vehicle between March 1, 2002 and February 28, 2003.

The Attorney General filed the case before the Colombo High Court against Sooriyaarachchige Sripathy for misusing the Land Rover Discovery Jeep GA 3040, a property of the Post and Telecommunication Ministry.

The file submitted 10 productions and 47 witnesses.

Sooriyaarachchige Sripathy in his statement to the CID said he did not obtain the vehicle for himself.
