Over 60 children from Nilaveli, Habarana and Nattandiya took part in the Inter-cultural Sports Festival held at the Sports School, Nattandiya on December 8 and 9, 2007.

The children belonging to the three main communities Sinhalese, Tamils and Muslims took part in football, cricket, swimming, table tennis, carrom and chess during the two day festival. The aim of conducting the Sports Festival was to bring about friendship and understanding between the children by taking part in sports.
