3,500 jobs for Lankans in Italy

Sri Lanka?s Ambassador to Italy President?s Counsel Hemantha Warnakulasuriya said Italy will grant jobs for 3,500 Sri Lankans of the 165,000 job quota.

Those interested in submitting applications should do so without being duped by brokers. They should not be paid money as Sri Lankans are not able to provide these jobs, he said.

It is not possible to secure jobs through such means, Warnakulasuriya said. Applications should be made on a systematic basis.

The jobs can be secured through `Italians and Sri Lankans who have obtained Italian citizenship, through the website which is in Italian, the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Italy said. The Embassy cautioned Sri Lankans not to attempt to get jobs through improper means.
