Schols for Lankans in Bangladesh, Korea
The People's Republic of Bangladesh has offered five seats to Sri
Lankan students to follow MBBS or BDS courses at Government owned
Medical and Dental Colleges for 2007/2008 while the Republic of Korea
has offered three seats to Sri Lankan students to follow undergraduate
courses in Korean language (one year for language and four years for the
undergraduate course) in the Kyungpook National University of Korea for
2007/2008.
The medium of instruction in Bangladesh is English. All expenses for
the courses in Korea will be borne by the Korean Government.
The minimum qualification for the courses in Bangladesh is GCE A/L
not before 2006 with at least C. grades for all subjects. Based on
nominations made through an interview conducted by the Higher Education
Ministry the final selections will be made by the Government of
Bangladesh.
Successful candidates will be notified of the final selection in
January 2008 by the Bangladesh Government. Applicants for Korean
scholarships should be in good health and below 25 years with a record
of high performance at the GCE A/L examination and a good command of
English.
Nominations will be made through an interview conducted by the Higher
