Bilal-most outstanding player of Royal-Thomian water polo match

Bilal Hassan of Royal College proved his class being selected as the
most outstanding player of the 16th annual Royal-Thomian Water Polo
encounter played on November 14 and 18 at the Sugathadasa Stadium pool.
In the first 'leg', Bilal scored four goals in their 8-3 win over S.
Thomas' playing in the centre forward position. He continued his good
form to score yet another 5 goals in the drawn second 'leg'.
Where it ended in a 8-all draw. Bilal, the third year coloursman, was
the key player for Royal. His clever goal scoring efforts has helped
Royal College to be the undisputed Water polo champions and win the
SLASU 'A' division Challenge Trophy for Ellawala League Championships
2007.
The other wins came in the under-20 SLASU conducted knockout
championship, Sri Lanka Schools Water polo tournament and runners-up at
the National Water polo Championships, losing 7-8 to MAS Sports Club in
the final.
Bilal first represented Royal in 2005. He was a member of the
national pool in 2006, main player of the College under-15 team which
won the Mahinda Liyanage Trophy in 2004.
