At least 16 civilians were confirmed killed and
37 civilians were injured as a suspected parcel bomb placed at a
parcel counter of a popular fashion store located at the busy
Nugegoda junction exploded in rush hour traffic yesterday at 5.55
p.m.

Bomb Blast in Nugegoda Town
LTTE terrorists have carried out a cowardly bomb
attack targeting innocent civilians in Nugegoda this evening
(November 28 ).
According to the available information the bomb
has been exploded at the Nugegoda Junction around 5.55 p.m. and a
bus has caught fire after the attack.
