APRC activities continuing - Prof. Vitharana

All Party Representative Committee (APRC) Chairman Prof. Tissa Vitharana said yesterday that the Committee activities were continuing as usual in spite of the current "tug-of-war" situation.

He said committee activities would temporarily be stopped because they were unable to get Hansard reporters to record the proceedings.

"It is difficult to get Hansard reporters because of the Parliamentary proceedings," Prof Vitharana said.

APRC proceedings will resume once the vote on the third reading of the Budget is taken on December 14, he said.
