Abans Finance begins operations countrywide

Abans Finance Co- mpany a subsidiary of Abans Group which began commercial operations is in the process of capturing the higher purchase market.

"The rational of opening the finance company was because we have been into higher purchase of consumer durables and household appliances for the past so many years", its Managing Director Mano Alles told Daily News Business.

She said they will serve customers through their showrooms and dealer network. They have more than 200 showrooms and over 400 dealership networks across the country. This shows that Abans has a penetration all over the island.

"This is an advantage because since we are a fully owned subsidiary of Abans, we are able to use these showrooms to reach the customer starting from the grassroot level," she said.

She said they offer services such as leasing, hire purchase of vehicles and machinery and services such as providing hire purchase of consumer durable products.

Alles said they are lucky compared with other finance companies because they have the outreach at the inception without spending time and resources.

They could expand the business with the existing Abans connections and showrooms. They have opened windows in their branches in Anuradhapura, Gampaha, Dambulla, Galle, Ratnapura and Katugastota.

Therefore they are able to reach their customers through the large Abans network.
