KBSL celebrates 20 years of service in Sri Lanka
Keells Business Systems Limited (KBSL), a fully-owned subsidiary of
John Keells Holdings PLC (JKH) and one of the key players in the ICT
industry, celebrated 20 years of service in Sri Lanka at an event held
for its customers, principals, partners, employees and the Board of
Directors of JKH last week.
Being one of the most sought-after systems integrators with clients
cutting across the telecom, banking and conglomerate sectors, KBSL has
so far won several highly complex and large projects, the most
noteworthy being the rolling out of the JKH intranet (a trend-setter at
that time) undertaken solely by KBSL engineers. In addition, the company
has also pioneered call center solutions for the largest telecom
provider and the leading mobile carrier in the country.
KBSL recently scored another first in the region by deploying a soft
switch and NGN solution for Sri Lanka's largest mobile carrier in Sri
Lanka. These innovative technology solutions by KBSL have enabled
customers to be more efficient and profitable in their businesses.
CEO/Vice President, KBSL Thusha Weerasooriya said, "We attribute our
ability to stay in business for 20 years in the ever-changing ICT
marketplace to strategies adopted with a long-term view in sustaining
the operation."
"We have three strong pillars which have carried and guided us
through the fiercely competitive marketplace: our truly dedicated
employees, our loyal and long-standing customers whom we are proud to
serve and our principal and partners who have always stood by us," added
Senior Manager Sales and Marketing Lakshitha Samaranayake.
KBSL began operations in 1987, representing IBM in Sri Lanka, to
cater to the ever-growing PC marketplace. The company rapidly built up a
successful business as the leading IBM PC distributor in the country. |
