Wijeyadasa says will remain in SLFP

UPFA National list MP and COPE Chairman Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe yesterday crossed over to the Opposition and sat as a backbencher in the Opposition. Rajapakshe making a special statement in Parliament said he will continue to be in the SLFP.

Three UNP Western Provincial Councillors to support Govt

Following meetings with President Mahinda Rajapaksa at Temple Trees on Monday and Tuesday (12 and 13), the three UNP Provincial Councillors Duminda Silva, the son of former UNP Minister Weerasinghe Mallimarachchi Janaka Mallimarachchi and Anil Kumara Wijesinghe have decided to render their fullest support and co-operation to President Rajapaksa’s Government in all their future endeavours.
