Education Minister Susil Premajayantha yesterday said in Parliament
that MP Wijedasa Rajapakshe was actively involved in the ploy to
overthrow the Government though he said otherwise.
Rajapakshe’s maiden report as the COPE Chairman clearly manifests
that he has been a party to of this infamous conspiracy, he said.
The Minister in reply to the Rajapakshe’s statement after the
latter’s cross over to the Opposition said he was responsible for making
him an MP on the National List in which his name was not mentioned and
the Centre for Policy Alternatives filed action against this move.
He should have submitted his recommendations which he uttered during
his speech in the Parliament today to the Sri Lanka Freedom Party first.
Premajayantha said the Government has allocated the funds which MP
Rajapaksha is talking of, for the provision of employment to over 11000
graduates. The Tharuna Aruna graduates will also receive employment
under this fund, he said. |
