change within the UNP after the forthcoming budget, with another
batch of six to eight prominent MPs already in line to join either
UNP(D) or the Government directly.

Media now behaving well - Yapa
The Gazette notification that was issued
following the airing of false and irresponsible information about a
terrorist attack by sections of the media was withdrawn on October
31 due to the good conduct of Media, observed thereafter, Media and
Information Minister Anura Priyadarshana Yapa said in reply to a
question raised during the Cabinet news briefing yesterday.
