Settlement on Standard premises?

Kosala Darmadasa the owner of the Standard Newspapers (Pvt) Ltd
premises informed Colombo District Judge Sisira Ratnayake that he would
come to a settlement with the Standard Newspapers (Pvt) Ltd in
connection with the plaint he filed against the company for allowing the
setting up of a head office of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mahajana wing
by former ministers Mangala Samaraweera and Sripathi Sooriyaarachchi.
Standard Newspapers (Pvt) Ltd premises owner Kosala Darmadasa of No
165, Castle Street, Colombo 8 filed a plaint on July 31, before the
Colombo District Court complaining that the Company at No. 175, Castle
Street, Colombo 8 had allowed the premises to be used of head office of
the Sri Lanka Freedom Party Mahajana wing and for conducting political
activities, in breach of the tenancy agreement.
The case will be called on November 01.
President's Counsel Ikram Mohammed with Thisith Wijegunawardana
instructed by Nimal Rajapakse appeared for plaintiff.
