Daily News Short Story anthology
The Daily News will launch its maiden short story collection 'Nothing
Grows Under the Banyan Tree and Other Stories' at the Cinnamon Grand
today.
The book consists of 24 short stories which have been published in
the Daily News Creative Writing Page. Cash prizes will be awarded at
this ceremony to the best three short stories included in the
collection.
US Ambassador Robert Blake will be the chief guest, while Dr. Tissa
Abeysekara will deliver the keynote address. Ministers Dr. Sarath
Amunugama, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa and Lakshman Yapa Abeywardane will
be guests of honour.
