NCCSL Budget 2008 seminar

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will hold a seminar on Budget 2008 and its Impact on Business and Economy on Tuesday November 13, 2007 from 2.15 to 5.30 p.m. at the National Chamber Auditorium D.R. Wijewardene Mawatha, Colombo 10.

The objective of the seminar is to critically analyse the impact of the "2008 Budget Proposals" on the business and economic development in the country.

Chairman - Banking Insurance and Financial Services Committee of NCCSL & Director/GM/CEO - DFCC Bank Nihal Fonseka will chair the seminar. The topics discussed are Introductory Remarks, Overview of the Budget, Constructive Analysis of Budget 2008, Changes to the Value Added Tax in the Budget 2008 and Changes to the Taxes in the Budget 2008. The eminent speakers will be Chairman - Hatton National Bank Ltd, Rienzie T. Wijetilleke, Partner - Ernest & Young, Lakmini Nanayakkara, Senior Partner, Gajma & Co. N.R. Gajendran, Deputy Commissioner - Secretariat - Department of Inland Revenue D.G.P.W. Gunathilaka, Commissioner - Strategic & Operational Planning - Department of Inland Revenue H.B.A. Seneviratna, Council Member - the NCCSL and Finance Director - Millers Ltd. S.R. Balachandran and Chairman - Importers Committee of the NCCSL and Managing Director - Ninehearts (Pte) Ltd Tilak Godamanna.

The target audience is CEOs, company directors, finance directors and controllers, academics and researchers, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs and the Public.
