Kyocera copiers enter local market
OA Corporation, a subsidiary of diversified PCH Holdings is set to
revolutionise and add value to the "Digital Imaging Industry" in Sri
Lanka with the dynamic distribution of world renowned Kyocera
photocopiers in the local market.
In order to support the dynamic expansions, OA Corporation and
Kyocera their overseas partner are adopting more aggressive strategic
approaches to serve the local market.
Kyocera photocopiers, which are manufactured by Kyocera Corporation
of Japan, is shaped and sharpened with the innovative and reputed
Japanese technology. Incidentally, Kyocera derives its name from (Kyoto
Ceramics). The machine is locally marketed and distributed by OA
Corporation, a company that is synonymous with office automation
equipment.
According to New York based Industry Analyst Incorporation, (IAI)
Kyocera Mita has been adjudged as the most reliable multi functional
photocopy machine for the past four years in categories such as product
characteristics, service support and reliability, compared with the
giants in the category. In addition, Kyocera ranked first in 29
performance categories.
Kyocera also won the BERTL reader's choice gold award for monochrome
reliability and the reputed German Drucker Channel award for long
running printing as well.
"Photocopy machines are considered as an indispensable component of a
modern day organization and the demands that are imposed on such
equipment have grown exponentially during the past few years.
With this need change we have identified a yawning gap in the Sri
Lankan office equipment market for multi-functional digital imaging
equipment and decided to intensify the distribution of Kyocera machines
in the market," General Manager for OA Corporation Ravi Fernandopulle
said.
"Sometime back IT and Office Automation were strictly separate
disciplines but now the industries boundaries have merged, such that
both disciplines have become unified giving more convenience to the
customer. We want to hand out these benefits to Sri Lankan customers in
the most cost effective manner.
In this context, Kyocera is providing an ideal solution as it has
copying, printing, scanning and faxing capabilities.
The customers decision criteria for purchasing a copier is not only
based on the cost of the copier, but also on the operating costs such as
the cost of consumable, the cost of spare parts as well as the life time
of the spare parts.
Kyocera Copiers have the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) in the
copier industry. Kyocera has been able to achieve this by designing long
lasting consumable such as the Drum & Toner, long lasting and highly
durable spare parts. Hence, as the customer does NOT need to replace
spare parts and consumable frequently, the TCO is very low.
We also believe that more than 50% of the market will be shifting to
digital, colour machines within the next 6-7 years." Fernandopulle
stated. He also said that the Office Automation market in Sri Lanka is
growing steadily and according to customs records more than 7,000
photocopiers are required every year.
The local distributor for Kyocera, OA Corporation is giving all its
corporate and individual customers a personalized pre and post purchase
service through the 41 PC House outlets located island wide. The company
also has a specially trained staff to support customer queries on
Kyocera.
