TUs, Ministry discuss teachers’ salary anomaly issue

COLOMBO: The present Trade Union action regarding the salary anomalies in Teachers and Principals Service was discussed at a meeting between teacher unions and the Education Ministry at the Ministry yesterday.

It was decided to further discuss this matter with the Salaries and Cadre Commission at its office this morning and arrive at a solution, said the Education Ministry in a release yesterday.

Leaders of the Samastha Lanka Eksath Guru Sangamaya, Adyapana Vruththikayange Sangamaya, Lanka Guru Sangamaya, Lanka Gruha Vidya ha Krushi Vidya Diplomadhari Guru Sangamaya and the Lanka Guru Seva Sangamaya attended the yesterday’s meeting, the release said.
