Clay-O-Curry, second runner runner-up in Cleaner Dining competition

Clay-O-Curry, a food outlet in the Crescat Food Court, has, became the second runner-up in the Cleaner Dining competition. The outlet that offers pure Sri Lanka food is claimed to be the only Sri Lanka food outlet in the food court.

This competition was mainly targeted for food outlets in the Crescat food court counting more than 15 outlets with restaurant appearance, hygienic condition, customer care any many more, According to the Chairman/Managing Director Nimal de Silva Sri Lankan food industry is now expanding at a rapid pace, therefore there is a big demand for Sri Lanka food especially from foreign expatriate.

De Silva who started his life as a flying instructor at Ratmalana Airport is now doing well in the food business. Currently he manages six-food outlet in town is planning to have his own food parlor in town in the future.

He said that they always keep the place prim and proper to attract customers. This was one of the reasons for them to obtain this award for their outlet.

He also said that his wife was a former member of the Sri Lankan Airline cabin crew and she is tower of strength and her contribution to him have paved the way to reach the present standard

Most of the time they use less oil and calories to provide a healthy meal for their customers. Further, they have a trained staff to cook delicious Sri Lankan food their customers.

This Cleaner Dining competition was organized for the firs time in a food court of this nature. This was organized by the Sri Lanka Pro Food Association to gather with the Colombo Municipal Council.
