Amended Grade One circular to be released soon

COLOMBO: The Ministry of Education says that the circular which has been amended according to the legal changes regarding ‘Year One School Admission 2008’ would probably be released next week.

The Ministry pointed out that such a circular hasn’t been released so far but only a newspaper notification for summoning year one applications.

The Secretary to the Ministry of Education, has denied rumours that the past pupils have no priority for school admission.

It has also been mentioned in the paper advertisement.
