Biggest ever participation at IAAF World C’ships
A record number of 203 countries will compete at
the forthcoming IAAF World Championships in Japan. Of the 212 member
Federations of the IAAF, athletes from 203 countries, including Sri
Lanka, have qualified to field athletes for the mega event.

Three world records by Kandy Ladies
Sripalee 275 n.o. sets new mark:
Sripalee Weerakkody of Kandy Ladies CC scored a
record breaking 275 n.o. against Pushpadena CC in a 50 over Division
1 Ladies Cricket Tournament match conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket.
The match was played at the Welagedara stadium Kurunegala on Monday.
