Three world records by Kandy Ladies

Sripalee 275 n.o. sets new mark:

CRICKET: Sripalee Weerakkody of Kandy Ladies CC scored a record breaking 275 n.o. against Pushpadena CC in a 50 over Division 1 Ladies Cricket Tournament match conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket. The match was played at the Welagedara stadium Kurunegala on Monday.

Sripalee was associated in an opening stand of 371 runs with Nirosha Kumari who made 117. Kandy Ladies posted an astonishing total of 632 for 4 wickets.

Prabha Udawatte who bowled a good line and length took 5/9 to skittle out Pushpadana CC for a mere 18 runs which helped them to win by a massive margin of 614 runs. These three feats achieved by Kandy Ladies are also world records.

Kandy Ladies 633 for 4 wickets (Sripalee Weerakkody 275 n.o, Nirosha Kumari 117, Sweeni de Alwis 67, Deepika Ratnayaka 47).
