VOLLEYBALL: China and Thailand were victorious in yesterday's matches to climb on to top of the points table in Group 'B' to overcome Sri Lanka in the Asian Schools Volleyball Championship yesterday. The tournament is now on progress in Singapore.

All the games played yesterday, saw the winning team knocking down their opponents in an easy manner.

China met the much weaker Macau in today's first game and trounced them 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-19). Korea crushed Vietnam in straight sets at 25-11, 25-5, 25-17. Malaysia too did not allow their victims to get onto the winning path at any time and crushed Philliphines in straight sets of 25-10, 25-9, 25-16.

China and Korea are now on top with six points each, both after three games. Sri Lanka was at the helm of group 'B' so far, but now they are placed fourth with five points after three games. They will meet the Powerful Thailand today.
