Police motorbike stolen from traffic courts premises

COLOMBO: The Police has been conducting investigations into the robbery of police motor bicycle which was parked at the traffic courts premises at Aluthkade on Tuesday.

According to police sources, three separate police units have been deployed to search for the motor’bike since the vehicle can be used for terrorist activities. The registered number of the motor bicycle is WP GY 1922 and Dark Green and Grey in colour. Police say that the motor bicycle is a “Bajaj Calibre”.

A police serjeant has gone to the traffic courts in Aluthkade for a case filed around 10.45a.m. He noticed that the vehicle was missing after he had parked it on a corridor at the courts premises.

Borella police said that the motor bicycle hasn’t yet been located and is conducting further investigations.
