Examinations supervisor, invigilator in custody

KOTIKAWATTE: An examinations supervisor and an invigilator attached to Wellampitiya Rajasinghe Vidyalaya A/L Examination Centre were taken into custody yesterday for illegally releasing the GCE Advanced Level Combined Mathematics Second paper.

The second paper of the Combined Maths is due to be officially released today, according to the examination timetable.

According to the Wellampitiya Police sources, they have arrested the two suspects after conducting investigations on a complaint by a examination supervisor that he had noticed that a Combined Mathematics examination paper was missing from the centre.

Accordingly, the two suspects who have taken out the examination paper from the examination hall have been taken into custody by the police. The suspects will be produced before Courts today. Further investigations are being conducted by SI C. Meegahawatte under the instructions of Acting OIC IP Samaranayake.
