Illangaratnam passes away

DEATH: The death occurred of former Sri Lanka cricketer Sabapathypillai Illangaratnam and the cremation will take place at 3.00 pm at General Cemetery Kanatte today .

llangaratnam represented Moratuwa SC, Bloomfield C and AC, and later Sri Lanka in a one-day game against Keith Fletcher's England team prior to Sri Lanka gaining full status.

He was employed at Bank of Ceylon and was a regular member of their team as a fast bowler. His remains lie at the Jayaratne Funeral Parlour.
