NCCSL seminar on new Companies Act
SEMINAR: The New Companies Act with significant changes will come
into force shortly. The new Act will have special features on rights and
duties of Shareholders, Directors and Secretaries. It will also require
certain changes to the accounting procedure.
The Chamber will hold a seminar on Wednesday, March 28 from 2.30 pm
to 5.30 pm in the NCCSL Auditorium, 450, D R Wijewardene Mawatha,
Colombo 10.
Presentations will be made by Dr. Harsha Cabraal, R. Senadhirajah,
Senior Partner of M/s Julius and Creasy, Aritha Wickramanayake, Senior
Partner of Nithya Partners who have contributed immensely in preparing
the New Companies Act.
Company directors, senior managers, financial managers, accountants
and the company secretaries should be able to obtain information about
the clauses of the New Companies Act from the above intellectuals.
S. R. Balachandran, a Senior Council Member of the National Chamber
of Commerce of Sri Lanka who is also the Financial Director of Millers
Ltd will make a presentation on “Companies Act in General”.
