only after September 11, 2001, as some foreigners would have the
world to believe. There has rarely been a period in modern history,
when the world has not been confronted with terrorism; somewhere or
the other, in some form or another, for some reason or the other.
Terrorism ebbs and flows, and keeps undergoing many mutations.

World Water Day falls today:
The international observance of World Water Day
is an initiative that grew out of the 1992 United Nations Conference
on Environment and Development (UNCED) in Rio de Janeiro. The United
Nations General Assembly designated on March 22 of each year as the
World Day for Water by adopting a resolution.
