New Express Centre reinforces DHL's market leadership

Relocation: DHL, the world's express and logistics company, has relocated its Express Centre from No. 130, Glennie Street, Colombo 02 to No. 148, Vauxhall Street, Colombo 02.

The new Express Centre features cutting-edge technology, such as track-and-trace terminals where customers can track their own shipments, and offers a range of products and services including Jumbo Box and Express Pallet targeted at retail customers.

Martin Dudek, Country Manager, DHL Express Sri Lanka said, "This investment aims to capture the strong anticipated growth in Sri Lanka. It also highlights DHL's confidence in the market, which has recorded double-digit growth in the last couple of years.

Sri Lanka is an important market for us, where we have been enjoying market dominance. This new Express Centre will enable us to continue to provide our customers with safe and reliable products and services, as well as expand our operational capacity:".

During the last four years, DHL has made significant investments towards the development of network infrastructure in Sri Lanka, and now has seven Express Centres across the country.

"The Sri Lankan retail customer base gives us exciting opportunities for growth. We continually find an expanding clientele with diverse needs, seeking our express delivery services.

Our goal is to provide them with access to more service locations across the country, and unique products and services which address their specific needs, backed of course by our industry-leading service standards," Dudek noted.

"This investment once again reinforces DHL's leadership position within the industry and our commitment to constantly develop our express network. The new facility will further enhance our network operation by enabling us to provide the highest quality service to all our customers across the country."
