CMF distributes mosquito nets

COLOMBO: The Country Music Foundation (CMF) recently donated 1,500 mosquito nets to needy children in the Moneragala district from the proceeds raised at the 2006 Country Roads Charity Concert. The event organised by Sarvodaya.

The CMF raised Rs 500,000 from the concert and the entire proceeds were channelled to the 'Nets' project initiated by Krishna (Arjuna Krishnaratne), the musician with a cause.

The CMF's blockbuster 15th annual concert is tentatively scheduled for February-March 2007. School children and parents participated at this event.
