COLOMBO: The CID yesterday claimed that a major breakthrough was
imminent in their investigations into the assassination of TNA
Parliamentarian Nadarajah Raviraj.
"We are confident that our investigations are successful as we have
made a major breakthrough on the assassination," DIG (CID) Asoka
Wijethilaka told the Daily News.
He said information from eye witnesses helped them pursue the
assassins.
"We also invited Scotland Yard investigators on President Mahinda
Rajapaksa's instructions for forensic and technical support," he added.
Raviraj was assassinated by unidentified assassins close to his
residence in Manning Town on November 10 morning.
