Daily morning news
About bombs, mortars and claymore mines
Taken lives of innocents
May be one, two or hundreds
This is the normal episode
Faced with
The displeased nation
With sorrow
Waits helplessly

Killings over grudges
Personal or contracts
By smashing into pieces
Even the infants
Without mercy
Whole village gathers up
To view the brutal scenario
With silent tears
And moves away helplessly

Sleepless nights
Threats from thieves
With tension and health hazards
Uncertain moments
Around each corner
Corruption, devastates,
sight of the displaced citizens
That explores equally
"Life is a gift"
Is that a truth?
With the continuous misery
Above all.....
Eager to reach the golden day
To embrace the smell of peace and harmony
And to share the pleasure as one family
Until then....
The nation waits helplessly
