The Joint Apparel Association Forum (JAAF) has
sought assistance from the Government to support the US$ 2.5 billion
worth industry to maintain its competitiveness in the export market
due to the increase cost of production, its sources said.

HDFC targets middle class in housing apartment projects
The Housing Development Finance Corporation Bank
of Sri Lanka (HDFC) has introduced new housing apartments to provide
living and secure neighbourhood for middle income families at
affordable prices. Housing apartments will be set up in Avissawella,
Wellawatte and Ampara investing over Rs. 550 million.
