Policeman killed

COLOMBO: One Policeman was killed following a LTTE attack on a group of Policemen who were on duty near Kalladi bridge, Batticaloa around 7.15 pm yesterday.

The LTTE cadres had opened fire on these Policemen while they were on duty. The Police constable killed by the LTTE has been identified as Kannadas, Batticaloa Police told the Daily News last night.
