First ever 'fuel sale' from American Express

CREDIT CARD: Nations Trust Bank, sole licensed issuer of American Express Cards in Sri Lanka, announced the first ever 'Fuel Sale' in Sri Lanka.

All American Express Card members will be offered discounts up to 10 per cent on their fuel purchases during the promotional period June 1 to 30, 2006 at gas and fuel stations islandwide.

"We believe in providing meaningful privileges to our American Express Card members and this first ever fuel sale is an initiative through which we want to say thank you to all our American Express Card members by offering them an exclusive saving on their gas and fuel purchases, especially now when fuel prices are on a regular increase," Head of American Express Cards at Nations Trust Bank, Priyantha Talwatta said.

A Card member has to use his/her American Express Card at gas and fuel stations as well as use the card for daily purchases to meet the minimum spend requirement.

Card members with an overall spend of Rs. 50,000 and above during the promotional period will enjoy a discount of 10 per cent on their total fuel purchases, whilst Card members with an overall spend of Rs. 25,000 and above during the promotional period will enjoy a discount of 5 per cent on their total fuel purchases.
