Romesh, Rohan & Gihan win Country Golf Finals

GOLF: The outcome of the successfully completed Mercedes Benz country finals local golf tournament last Saturday at the Royal Colombo Golf Club was that the winners of the 'A', 'B' and 'C' divisions in Romesh Abhayaratne, Rohan Perera and Gihan Wickremasinghe along with their respective runner-ups, Ranil Pathirana, Joseph Kenny and Ceasar Fernando, all six of them by their fine display are now eligible to fly across to Australia to take part in the Asian finals, with the likely prospect of those doing well in Australia, travelling later to take part in the world finals to be held in Stuttgart Germany.

This aspect of which is an interesting, significant feature of this tournament, has been sponsored by Diesel and Motor Engineering Company for the past 15 years, quite a sustained partnership between RCGC and Dimo, indeed.
